Editing Services FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
- Will my manuscript be error-free?
- Editing is a process which takes many pairs of eyes looking over a manuscript multiple times. It is not always possible to catch every error in a few passes of editing. The vast majority of traditionally-published books are edited multiple times by multiple editors throughout the production of the book. Even then, errors sometimes go to print.
- Will I be able to speak directly with the editor?
- Absolutely! In addition to email, we can easily schedule a phone call or Skype session.
- What are the editor's qualifications?
- Author Bruce Carroll is the son of a teacher. He was expected to use proper grammar as a child. He holds a BA in Communications with an emphasis on journalism. He is familiar with both The Chicago Manual of Style and the AP Stylebook. He has over thirty years of editing experience.
- Do I need Microsoft Word to use this service?
- We can convert your document to MS Word for an additional fee of $11.99. We make all of our edits on Word, so you will need Word to be able to view our response.
